America’s Jim Furyk was unfortunately disqualified from the Barclays 2010 golf tournament on Wednesday, after he showed up late to your 7:30 AM start to the Pro-Am. The reason for his lateness – he reportedly overslept, right after the alarm on his cell phone didn’t go off!!

According to Hank Gola at nydailynews.com, Slugger White – PGA Tour rules official – said that they began seeking Furyk about 30 minutes prior to the Pro-Am was because of start. Furyk was scheduled to start over a eleventh tee. White said they had even tried calling him.
