US Open Draw

US Open Draw: The US Open draw was performed today and I tried to follow along while at work. The top for divided up with Rafa/Murray in the top half; Nole/Federer in the bottom. The top quarter is Spanish heavy with Rafa, Ferrer and Verdasco. Rafa’s first match will be against Gabashvili.
The draw
He was given one that Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer would be on opposite ends of the draw. But in tennis Brave New World, which saw Federer - albeit briefly - slip to third in the world, it was no longer guaranteed. However, with Federer fresh off consecutive finals, including a victory in Cincinnati, Nadal and Federer are in place to achieve another Slam final at the Open in 2010 the United States, the draw has recently published.

Top-seeded Rafael Nadal is probably the biggest winner, with some real threats in the neighborhood of the draw. Dear compatriots, Fernando Verdasco, David Ferrer (Nadal who has run the end is 2007 U.S. Open) and Feliciano Lopez three higher seed in the bracket, giving Nadal a good chance at least to equal his best result Flushing Meadows and make the semifinals.

No. 2 Roger Federer should have an equally open way, at least for the quarterfinals. If the seeds are just, Federer could have a rematch with No. 5 Robin Soderling, who beat Federer-esque series DiMaggio making 23 consecutive Grand Slam semifinals in the districts of the French Open this year.

No. 3 Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko No. 6 and No. 9 Andy Roddick figures to fight in a crowded bracket, while No. 4 Andy Murray will be hitting Czech Tomas Berdych to worry about his local support.
